Mark and Mel opened Melarkys in 2025 with a simple idea: a proper local where everyone feels at home, whether you're in for a quick pint or a long Sunday lunch.
"We just wanted somewhere friendly, with good food and a good atmosphere," says Mark. Mel looks after the front of house, Mark looks after the kitchen, and they're always happy to stop for a chat.
Good Food, Kept Simple
Everything on the menu is cooked fresh to order, and we buy from local farmers and butchers wherever we can.
Nothing fancy, just hearty pub food done well, a decent drink and a friendly face behind the bar.
